- The molten salt electric heating tube is the core component of molten salt electric heating, responsible for the conversion of electrical energy to thermal energy. Its design must take into account high temperature tolerance, corrosion resistance, thermal efficiency and safety.
I. Selection process
1. Clarify the working conditions: molten salt composition, maximum temperature, heating rate requirements
2. Calculate power: determine the total power based on the molten salt mass, specific heat capacity, and temperature rise time.
3. Select materials: select the sheath tube material based on corrosiveness: Incony 600/316L/Hastelloy/Titanium
4. Determine the specifications: design the length of the heating tube according to the size of the molten salt container, and reasonably design the power of a single heating tube according to the flange size;
- II. Precautions1. Surface power density: According to the type of molten salt and the heating temperature, it can be selected in the range of 3~5 W/cm²;
2. Working pressure and design pressure;
3. Safety requirements: explosion-proof level, protection level;
4. Temperature protection: real-time monitoring of the surface temperature of the heating tube to prevent dry burning;
