How to effectively extend the service life of the electric heating element?

In the diverse market of electric heating tubes, there are various qualities of heating tubes. The service life of an electric heating tube is not only related to its own quality but also to the operating methods of the user. Today, Yancheng Xinrong will teach you some practical and effective methods to extend the service life of electric heating tubes.

1. When connecting the terminals of the electric heating tube, tighten the two nuts relatively without applying excessive force to prevent the screws from loosening and damaging the electric heating tube.

2. The electric heating tubes should be stored in a dry warehouse. If they have been stored for a long time and the surface becomes wet, the insulation resistance should be measured using a megohmmeter before use. If it is lower than 1 megohm/500 volts, the electric heating tubes should be placed in a drying box at 200 degrees Celsius for drying.

3. The heating part of the electric heating tube should be fully immersed in the heating medium to prevent excessive heat dissipation and damage to the electric heating tube due to exceeding the allowed heating temperature. In addition, the wiring section should be exposed outside the insulation layer or the heater to prevent overheating and damage.

4. The input voltage should not exceed 10% of the rated voltage indicated on the electric heating tube. If the voltage is lower than the rated voltage, the heat generated by the heating tube will also decrease.

The second point above needs particular attention. If the surface of the electric heating tube is damp and not dried before use, it may cause a short circuit. All of these methods mentioned above can not only effectively extend the service life of the electric heating tube but also greatly ensure your operational safety.
